Welcome to my blog with Crystal Polston!
My purpose of photography is to show you a different side that is often missed. Photography is about freezing the moment of time and forever remembering the experience. My favorite type of photography is capturing the moment in someone's life, and being able to present his or her true emotion, at that time with my style of shooting. Another favorite, is taking photographs of silhouettes during sunsets and sunrises. My goal as a photographer is to show you a different outlook I have, and for you, to visualize it as an everyday perspective.
Since taking photography in high school, I continue to educate myself by reading books and learning from other photographers. I graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelors Degree in Finance, but I always knew photography would be life long major. I occasionally fill in as a wedding photographer’s assistant for other photographers. I like using a mix of composition in my work, whether using balance, rule of thirds, perspective, and/or framing.
My dream finally came true, by moving to the Outer Banks in hopes of improving my style of photography. I have a lot to offer to those who want not just pictures, but a new beginning with a story to tell, for many years down the road. Living here in the Outer Banks, it has brought much of my strong points in shooting people and places. I would say it has the most influence on my photography, and I hope to continue through the rest of my life.
